Fashion Alert:7 Most Fashionable Color Combinations for Fall!!

1. Pink + Gold

Many of the most fashionable color combinations for fall will involve traditional fall tones accentuated by pops of colour. Rich, golden yellow hues are often associated with fall dressing but this season try a fresh approach by teaming them with a bright pink shade. This colour combination was featured at Diane Von Furstenberg and is bound to be a hit this fall.

2. Maroon + Orange

All shades of orange were on-trend for spring/summer and this is set to follow through into fall. Make this color fall appropriate by pairing your bright orange shades with a moody maroon or wine colour, as seen on the Acne runway, for a truly fashionable look.

3. Black + White

Black and white is a classic pairing, and this upcoming fall season is set to be chock full of this fashionable color combination. Designers such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, and Proenza Schouler all featured black and white outfits in their fall collections. Make this look work by sticking to minimalist Mod and tuxedo inspired looks.

4. Blue + Grey

If you must wear grey shades this fall, bring them to life with a little bit of color. Grey and blue is a color combination that can easily be adapted to suit many wardrobes. Designers such as Balenciaga and Matthew Williamson made this color combination work by teaming cool greys with bright cobalt blues.

5. Navy + Red

Navy and red is a classic color combination that is perfect for working a polished, preppy look this fall. Designers such as Carven and Jil Sander featured doses of navy accentuated by red hues. Team a chunky navy sweater with a red skirt pants and Mary Jane shoes for a feminine and classic fall look, or be a bit more daring by wearing a bright red coat over a navy dress.

6. Cream + Pink

Fall colors are traditionally darker and moodier. However, some designers such as Jil Sander and Chloé chose to stick to a lighter colour palette for their Fall 2012 collections. This is great for those wanting to get a bit more wear from their spring/summer wardrobes. Take inspiration from the runways of Chloé and team cream and pink together.
